Item #: SCP-00000
Object Class: Apollyon
Special Containment Procedures:
Containment of SCP-00000 is currently impossible.
All Foundation efforts are directed toward mitigation of information spread and temporal stabilization attempts. Access to this file requires O5 unanimous approval and biometric confirmation from personnel whose identities have not yet been assigned.
Personnel reporting perceptual distortions, chronological displacement, or awareness of events “before they happen” are to be quarantined and evaluated for SCP-00000 exposure.
If you are reading this document and do not remember accessing it, immediately report to Site-01 Cognitive Hazards Division.
Description:
SCP-00000 is an extra-temporal ontokinetic collapse event manifesting as the progressive erasure of causality across baseline reality.
Unlike conventional anomalies, SCP-00000 is not an object, entity, or phenomenon contained within spacetime. Evidence suggests SCP-00000 is:
A failure condition of reality itself
A retrocausal anomaly propagating backward from a future extinction point
The absence of something fundamental that once prevented collapse
SCP-00000 does not destroy matter.
It removes the reason matter exists.
Affected areas experience:
Disappearance of historical records
Loss of shared memory consistency
Physical constants fluctuating within localized zones
People remembering events that never occurred — and forgetting those that did
Eventually, affected regions undergo ontological nullification — they do not explode, decay, or collapse. They simply become never-having-been.
Satellite imagery shows expanding “blind sectors” in cosmological background radiation corresponding to erased stellar systems. These regions cannot be re-observed. Instruments display error code: NO REFERENCE FRAME FOUND.
Discovery:
SCP-00000 was discovered when Foundation archives began losing files retroactively. Entire containment projects were found referencing personnel who never existed. Financial ledgers showed funding allocations from future fiscal years.
On ██/██/20██, 12% of the Orion Arm ceased observational detectability.
No energy release occurred.
Astronomical modeling confirms the region did not collapse into a black hole. It ceased having ever formed.
Addendum 00000-A: The Countdown
An anomalous pattern has appeared in background radiation fluctuations.
When translated via prime-sequence compression, it resolves to a decreasing integer.
Current value: 7
Previous week’s value: 8
Foundation projections indicate the integer corresponds to remaining stable cosmological constants.
If the value reaches zero, the following outcomes are theorized:
Universal timeline overwrite
Permanent reality collapse
Recursive temporal loop
Or retroactive non-existence of this document
Addendum 00000-B: O5 Communication Fragment
“We did this. Or we will. Or we already failed to stop ourselves.”
– O5-3 (recording timestamped 11 years in the future)
Further investigation suggests SCP-00000 may be a byproduct of a Foundation project designated PROJECT DAWNGLASS, which does not exist in current records.
Multiple O5 members deny knowledge of the project.
Three O5 members have never existed according to biometric archives.
Yet meeting transcripts reference them repeatedly.
Addendum 00000-C: Containment Proposal
Proposal 00000-Ω suggests inducing a controlled ontological reset by artificially forcing the countdown to zero under laboratory conditions.
Proposal status: Pending
Ethics Committee ruling:
“If this anomaly is the death of causality, we are not containing it. We are deciding how reality ends.”
Notice:
If the countdown displays 6 upon your next access, you are advised to consider that memory itself is no longer a reliable indicator of continuity.
If it displays 5, you will not remember reading this.
If it displays 4, you will begin to notice missing stars.
If it displays 3, the Foundation will never have existed.
If it displays 2, there will be no one left to count.
If it displays 1, there was never anything at all.
If it displays 0—
