There is one that should strike us as odd in this story. We are talking about a vast entity, big as a star system. Earth should be something like a midday snack for it. Despite this, all this thing does is snatch food from fridges and maddening the occasional fridge goer. But remember how the picture showed deep scars on its body. Our theory right now is that this entity, whatever it may be, doesn't do what it does the first time. That in fact, it has done so countless times before with alien civilizations. That it is some sort of intergalactic or interdimensional predator that sends out this telepathic broadcast like a lure to get summoned to the next world it can then devour. I assume, it learned from that that it isn't invincible and assumed that we can actually harm it in a meaningful way
The fact is, that we are currently able to destroy SCP-006-INT, with relative ease. Of course, we aren’t going to do it, since our mission is to contain anomalies and study them. But, the fact that even on the current technological level, the humanity is able to completly incinerate an eldritch horror, that before we could only dream of, raises many fundamental questions about our relationship with anomalies and the natural world in general.
Dr. Kalitzki, Project Head of SCP-006-INT's containment
SCP-INT-006
Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: In order to avoid informing civilians of the anomaly, a special amnestics preparation in the form of a flash must be placed in each refrigerator and freezer. All media must be searched by the Foundation for threads relating to the anomaly. If such a thread is found, publisher must go through amnestic therapy and his frigde must be replaced with new. Victims of anomalous hallucinations should undergo amnestic and then psychiatric therapy
Description: SCP-INT-XXX is a paranormal phenomenon that manifests itself in most refrigerators and freezers. It is based on the fact that food is regularly disappearing from them, and at present the Foundation cannot find any authoritative explanation for this phenomenon other than the paranormal. In rare cases anomaly can also cause hallucinations when opening the refrigerator from which food has disappeared. The reasons for these hallucinations are unknown, however, it is speculated that they most often affect people who were already susceptible to various mental illnesses.
The Foundation is currently researching the phenomenon. These are some of the hypotheses put forward by researchers.
Hipotethesis One (ACCEPTED):
People eat an extra meal in addition to the usual number of meals provided by the culture, but through memetic agent forget about it. Due to the frequent occurrence of meals not included in the cultural harmonization, the hypothesis is still being tested
Hipothesis Two (ACCEPTED):
An image of a meal that does not exist is created in the minds of people. Due to the occurrence of similar phenomena in nature, hipteza is constantly being researched
Hipothesis Three (REJECTED):
The mechanism of refrigerators breaks down some of the food. Due to multiple tests and checking of the refrigerator's mechanism, the hypothesis was rejected
Due to such a wide range of the anomaly and the low probability of revealing it by civilians, research on is ongoing but of low priority.
