Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-ticktockticktock is to be stored in a secure storage locker at Site-██. Access to SCP-ticktockticktock is restricted to Level 2 personnel or higher and must be accompanied by at least one member of security personnel.

Description: SCP-ticktockticktock is a standard wall clock measuring 30 cm in diameter. The clock is made of a metal casing with a glass cover and has a typical design for clocks of its size. The only noticeable difference between SCP-ticktockticktock and a normal clock is the rate at which it runs. SCP-ticktockticktock runs at a constant speed of 5.5 times faster than a normal clock.

Despite its abnormal speed, SCP-ticktockticktock does not seem to exhibit any negative effects on its surroundings or nearby objects. It does not appear to cause any temporal anomalies or affect the passage of time in any significant way. However, it should be noted that the fast ticking sound produced by SCP-ticktockticktock can be quite disruptive and may cause annoyance or discomfort to those who are in close proximity to it for an extended period of time.

SCP-ticktockticktock was discovered in a small antique store in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The store owner reported that the clock had been in his possession for over 10 years and that he had never noticed anything unusual about it. It was not until a customer pointed out the fast ticking sound that he became aware of SCP-ticktockticktock's anomalous properties.

Further investigation revealed that SCP-ticktockticktock had previously been owned by a Javanese mystic who claimed to have imbued it with mystical energy to aid in his spiritual practices. It is unclear whether the clock's anomalous properties are a result of this supposed imbuing or if they were present in the clock before it came into the mystic's possession.

SCP-ticktockticktock is considered safe for storage and research purposes and poses no significant threat to personnel or nearby objects. It is recommended that personnel take appropriate measures to mitigate the disruptive nature of its ticking sound.
