Special Containment Procedures: The perimeter of SCP-5339 is to be guarded by the SCP-5339 guard-force, or 5339-G.F. for short. No civilians or unauthorized personnel are allowed within SCP-5339 for any reason, unless otherwise stated. Should any personnel go missing within SCP-5339, a full-scale search is to be conducted by all means.
Description: SCP-5339 is an abandoned government facility located Altoona, Pennsylvania. The facility was constructed by an unknown company contracted by the U.S. Government during the 2nd World War as a top secret operations facility and as a designated safe zone, as most of the facility is underground or embedded within the hills nearby. At this facility, it was reported that Axis Prisoners of War (P.O.W.'s) were incarcerated and tortured by Allied Intelligence Officers in an attempt to gain enemy intelligence for use by the Allies. Aside from serving partially as a POW camp, the facility also housed Death Row Inmates from across the country, and also housed Axis Spies found guilty of spying, murder, treason, etc. For those crimes, if they were sentenced to death, they were either sent to the electric chair, hung, or shot to death by marksmen. Notable Axis Spies and War Criminals were executed at this facility.

What attracted the Foundation's attention to this facility is not exactly known by many. But some believe that because of the sightings of Ghosts of Executed Axis Criminals, the Foundation had reason to investigate the facility.
The facility was closed by by order of the Foundation the U.S. Government on December 31st, 2017. The Foundation then classified the facility as SCP-5339 and then closed off all public access to the facility.
NOTICE TO ALL PERSONNEL EMPLOYED AT THIS FACILITY
BY ORDER THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT COMMAND COUNCIL, THIS FACILITY IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED AS OF 12-31-2017. ALL PERSONNEL ARE TO GATHER ALL THEIR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTIES LEST WITHIN THIS FACILITY AND VACATE THIS FACILITY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. IN ORDER TO COVER UP ALL TRACES OF THIS FACILITY (TO PREVENT THE PUBLIC FROM GAINING KNOWLEDGE OF THIS FACILITY), THIS FACILITY WILL BE DESTROYED VIA A C.N.D. (CONTAINED NUCLEAR DETONATION) ON 03-24-2018 AT 1200 HOURS (EDT.) ALL PERSONNEL WILL HAVE EITHER BEEN TERMINATED, RE-ASSIGNED, OR EXTRACTED FOR UN-DISCLOSED PURPOSES.
The C.N.D. (Controlled Nuclear Detonation) never did take place, as the Foundation had immediately taken control over the facility for investigation and classification purposes. Starting on March 24th, 2018, the Foundation began it's primary operations at SCP-5339.
Multiple anomalies were found to be within SCP-5339. The have been listed in this document for viewing. Feel free to read them over as there are no security restrictions on said files.
ADDENDUM (04-29-2019): A petition has been passed by 05 Council Team 57 to convert SCP-5339 back into a modified version of it's original condition and to make it a new site for the foundation's use.
ADDENDUM (05-17-2019): The petition has been declined by the Administrator, The General of The U.S. Armed Forces, the Commander of the Counter Terrorist Administration, and President Trump. Reason is classified.
